After a long day at work, I am enjoying @MarcGuay ’s beer this afternoon!

Impressions on the mystery hops?

I guessed they were Cascade or Chinook or Centennial since he said he bought the plant at Rona, and I picked up on some citrus and resin (maybe by self suggestion).

I’ve read a guy on a forum saying that he often got melon from Centennial when paired with WLP007 Dry English Ale. I know it’s different from Notty but maybe a low amount of these hops paired with a fruity British yeast can achieve this flavor.

The variety would make sense for homegrown hops. I don’t think that he bought Huell Melon, Belma or El Dorado hops at Rona haha

Nice spicy character from the yeast, fruity flavor from hops and a light roast background from the grains. With a low ABV, it was a nice first beer to drink on a Friday night! Thanks for sharing!

@MarcGuay Great pils, good job! Made an attempt at a BJCP scoresheet, i’ll send it to you privately.

Really enjoyed your Dunkelweizen @PatLalonde. A nice malt sweetness, well balanced & smooth. Could have easily drank a second or third. Thank you!

My pleasure ! thanks for the feedback
