Dans un excès d’enthousiasme, j’ai acheté plusieurs sachets de levure liquide en spécial chez East Coast Hoppers (astuce de pro de la vie : ils ont toujours des sachets en spécial à 2.99 $) dont la date de production était il y a 6 mois. Ils sont donc considérés comme expirés. J’en ai utilisé plusieurs qui ont donné d’excellents résultats. Je m’étais d’abord toujours bâti une culture de départ (500-1000 ml) pour maximiser la quantité de cellules pour l’inoculation.

J’ai encore 4 sachets dont je ne vois pas le jour où je les utiliserai et souhaite les donner (GRATUIT !) à un ou plusieurs autres MontreAlers. Voici la liste :

  • OYL-033 Jovaru (manufacturing date : 2020-09-13)
  • OYL-057 HotHead (manufacturing date : 2020-09-21)
  • OYL-061 Voss Kveik (manufacturing date : 2020-09-15)
  • OYL-091 Hornindal (manufacturing date : 2020-09-21)

Les sachets de HotHead et Voss sont pas mal gonflés alors j’imagine que ça serait une bonne chose de les utiliser prochainement pour éviter une explosion dans le frigo :wink:

In an excess of enthusiasm, I bought several pouches of liquid yeast from East Coast Hoppers that were on special (life pro tip: they always have some on special for 2.99 $) which the production date was older than 6 months. They are therefore considered expired. I have used several which gave great results. I made sure I built up a starter (500-1000 ml) first in order to maximize the inoculation rate.

I still have 4 pouches that I can’t imagine when I will use. I would therefore like to give them away for FREE to one or more MontreAlers. Here is the list:

  • OYL-057 HotHead (manufacturing date: 2020-09-21)
  • OYL-061 Voss Kveik (manufacturing date: 2020-09-15)

Pouches of HotHead and Voss have expanded quite a lot so it would be a good idea to have a plan for them sooner than later in order to prevent any explosion in your fridge :wink:
