New to Montreal, such great beer!

Hello fellow brewers!

I’m new to Montreal and excited to meet many beer enjoyers. I drove up from Ottawa to judge the MontreAlers Ale and Lager Throwdown (M.A.L.T.) in 2023 and everyone I met here seemed awesome. I’ve brewed around 200ish 5-gallon batches across almost every style. I’ll be on a bit of a brewing hiatus until I find a house in Montreal, I’m in an apartment in Verdun until then.

I’m already overwhelmed by the selection of tasty pints! Feel like I need a guide to help me find some of the best… Anyone want to meet up for a beer? Also looking for advice on where to live!

Cheers,
Graham

Hey Graham,
welcome to the club and to Montreal

Next Saturday, Mutoïde Brewery is having a “Bitter Night,” featuring eight bitters on tap from a few good QC breweries. There should be an event listed on their facebook page

I might stop by for a pint or two. Maybe with others from the club who are regulars there? (@President?, @Norm?, anyone else?)

We could meet up there if you’re up for it. It’s not close to verdun, but the brewery is right by a metro station on the green line, should be less than a 25min train ride from verdun.

Cheers!

Very interesting that Cask day!, I might drive back and forth to Mutoide after my Belgian Porter brew if people are meeting there for a pint!

Thanks for invite! I’m out of town next weekend but it sounds like a great event. Hope to see you all soon!
