English below

Our friends the Green Mountain Mashers are organizing a pub crawl / bus tour of Vermont microbreweries in November. The exact date has not been determined, but the first weekend in November seems the most plausible. This is an event for Mashers members, but we are currently discussing with them whether we could have a “friends’ price”.

I invite you to contact them directly if you have any questions.

Actually I think we are now leaning towards Nov 11th though it’s still not 100%. We will almost definitely stop at Hill Farmstead, Black Flannel, Goodwater and Rock Art. We are trying to also get a hold of Lost Nation, Ten Bends (Hyde Park), Soulmate (brand new brewpub in Morrisville) and Wunderkammer as possible stops.

We look like we are very close to our minimum number of 14 which would mean around US$100pp but if we can get the number higher to around 30-32 the price would go down below US$50pp. Departure is likely to be at Black Flannel in Essex, VT. PRice is for transportation cost only. We are looking into lunch option and will probably reserve table space for optional dinner at Black Flannel at the end.

I will continue to update as we finalize our plans. I plan to attend MALT in Sept and hope to have details finalized before then and can possibly even take payment at that time from anyone interested.

Cheers,

  • Jay H

From Google Translate:

The tradition of the Green Mountain Mashers Trub Trek has returned and our friends in the MontreAlers are invited to join us!

On Saturday November 11th, the Green Mountain Mashers will be taking a bus tour (mostly) along route 15 to visit some of the great breweries this state has to offer! We have reserved a 32 person bus and Mashers members will have until Friday September 15th to reserve their spot on the bus. If all 32 seats have not been filled by Mashers members by this date, we plan to open the tour to non-members.

Details for the trip are included below, and all Mashers members that have paid dues for 2023 have been sent additional details through the club mailing list. Please read the information carefully and reach out to greenmountainmashers@gmail.com with any questions.

Date and Time
Saturday November 11th, 2023
We will leave Goodwater Brewery at 9 am and return to Goodwater around 6:30 pm.

Cost
$55 for Mashers members
$80 for non-members (this fee includes a prorated GMM membership for the remainder of 2023)

Locations
The bus will leave Goodwater Brewery promptly at 9 am and make the following stops:
10 am - Wunderkammer Biermanufaktur in Wolcott, VT
11:40 am - Lunch pick-up at The Parker Pie Company in West Glover, VT
12:15 pm - Hill Farmstead in Greensboro Bend, VT (and eat lunch)
2:30 pm - Rock Art Brewery in Morristown, VT
4 pm - Soulmate Brewing in Morrisville, VT
6:30 pm - Goodwater Brewery in Willison, VT

After Goodwater there will be an optional dinner stop at Black Flannel Brewing, which will require you to transport yourself from Goodwater to Black Flannel. NB Black Flannel gets busy onthe weekends. So if you wish to have dinner at Black Flannel you MUST RSVP to Jay by Oct 27th to reserve a space with our group.

Food and Drink
Lunch will be provided for all attendees at Hill Farmstead, in the form of pizza and sides.
Attendees will be responsible for all other food-related purchases as well as any tasting fees and/or beer-related purchases.

How to Reserve Your Spot
If you are a Mashers member that has paid dues for 2023, you have received an email containing instructions for reserving your spot. For non-members, we will post additional details if there are seats available after the members only window has passed.

We’re excited to revive the tradition of the Trub Trek and hope that you can join us! Thanks to Jay Hersh and Dan Hament for all of your help getting this going and hope to see as many of you there as possible.
