Love the switch from bourbon to a Canadian whiskey, respect! What a great way to end this journey. This is a lovely complex stout, with vanilla and cocoa and a nice espresso roast to it. I’m enjoying this as I prepare my fish dinner for Christmas eve, as is our tradition. I hope you’re all having a lovely holiday and celebrating whichever way you choose!
Ohhhh what a decadent chocolaty-coffey-whisky deliciousness we have here! Not roasty-harsh at all like many imp stouts (kudooos!). What an amazing end to a wonderful calendar! Thanks James

This one surprised me. I was expecting more “punch” from 10% but it was really quite smooth. Like Eric said, no harshness at all. Very nice! How did you add the whiskey?
Ooooh, rich chocolate and dark coffee notes on the nose here. Hint of vanilla and very light green pepper flavour also present (so hard to avoid it completely in coffee beers!). This is nicely round and drinks well alone by the wood stove in the sugar shack with my dog tonight. Hopefully I’ll find my way back to the house because this 10% does not taste hot at all and drinks quite easily.
@JamesKirk : I’m curious of how you went for the coffee.
Ça a été dit à de nombreuses reprises depuis le début du mois et je veux le réitérer : la qualité des bières de ce calendrier de l’Avent a été fantastique. Je pense que nous pouvons tous être fiers du niveau de qualité de ce que nous produisons!
