Best Local Homebrew Shops

Hello fellow brewers!

I was wondering where everyone is getting their supplies. I’m keen on buying local, I’ve restocked on malt from Fermentationet Compagnie, I’ll be buying some hops soon. Where does everyone buy their ingredients?

I’m also a bit of a gearhead. Where’s the best place to buy equipment in Montreal?

Cheers!
Graham

Cheers,
Graham

Our club sponsors include Fermentation & Compagnie, Choppe à Barrock and Hoppy.

Hoppy is in Drummondville, a 1h15 minutes drive from Montréal, but Mathieu (@Hoppy.ca), the owner, can ship your order.

In terms of hardware, Fermentation & Compagnie are well equipped with a variety of products (small bits and pieces to large custom built 3-vessel systems).

It seems like Fermentation et Compagnie is no longer open on Saturday mornings, which was the only time of the week I could make my way out east, I found out the hard way by seeing the sign on the door 2 weeks ago : (. Not sure if this is temporary or not, but last time I was there on a Saturday they did say staffing on Saturdays was a challenge.

It was their summer schedule. Maybe they decided to keep it.
