I’m pretty happy with my results overall. 2x1st, 2x2nd and 2x5th. You can’t please everyone, but I at least convinced 4/6 that my beer was pretty good. Honestly, I think they liked it more than I do!
Cool, I wish I was home so that I could taste my beer again.
Hey Denis, where did you find your score?
My dark mild got a score of 18 with 2x 1st, 1x3rd, 2x4th and 1x5th. All my comments were pretty positive. It was great to see some familiar names in the top 10. Good job everyone!
They emailed the scores. Remember, it’s golf scoring system so the lower the better!

I got 20. 1 1st, 2 3rd, 2 4th and 1 5th
I got 14 - 2x1st, 1 x2nd, 2x3rd and 1x4th. I am shocked. I didn’t really like the hop combination.

I got 29. 1x1st, 2x5th and 3x6th.
I guess I did not do well. I did not pick an easy style by trying to brew a Golden Stout hoping the cacao nibs would bring enough chocolate flavour to emulate a stout. Looking back, I don’t think I had what was needed.
Anyway, it was fun and pushed me out of my comfort zone.

J’ai bien aimé le concept d’être limité en ingrédients, c’est un bon exercice pour la création de recette. J’ai mis une brown ale au drain cet automne, j’étais agréablement surpris de celle brassé pour le concours. Plus simple, moins d’ingrédients.
Brown ale, 2 row, drc, aromatic, chocolate, s 04, northen brewer.

I always use DRC or Special B in my Quad. There are very similar

So I got sent an interesting graph on the entry score distribution. 92 entrants total and if I read it correctly the lowest score was 32 so even that beer was not placed last in every group it was judged with.
It also looks like Bruno was close if he had a score of 10. Good job!

My beer fell middle of the pack according to that nice bell curve distribution that @Terry shared (thanks!). It was a Dark Mild that tasted pretty similar to a lot of the ones I judged (19pts: 2x2nd, 2x3rd, 1x4th, 1x5th)
@Norm I drank the bottle of yours you left me last night and it was delicious. It was a nice malty sipper in my opinion. The chocolate came through lightly, and it was super drinkable. If I could put it in the ratings of the six I judged, it would probably have landed in the 2-3 range (my top beer really stood out).
And yes, congratulations to everyone who did so well!
